Washington's annual Mule Day is celebrated on the second Saturday in October, when our weather is at its best. Mule Day is a celebration of plantation life in the Old South, with draft mule and horse events and contests, "primitive" crafts demonstrations, arts and craft vendors, Civil War re-enactors, food, prizes and fun for the whole family. The setting is the beautiful Callaway Plantation in Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia.
