Mule Day Southern Heritage Festival

Experience life as it was in the 1800s!  Washington's annual Mule Day is celebrated on the second Saturday in October, when our weather is at its best.  Mule Day is a celebration of plantation life in the Old South, with draft mule and horse events and contests, "primitive" crafts demonstrations, arts and craft vendors, Civil War re-enactors, food, prizes and fun for the whole family.  The setting is the beautiful Callaway Plantation in Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia.
